My Language Learning Journey Learning a language is a long journey and not always easy, but I think my English journey has been rewarding, especially this year. Since the course began earlier this year, I’ve seen noticeable progress, especially in vocabulary. English wasn’t new thing to me, but this course helped me connect the dots and turn scattered knowledge into something more solid. One of the biggest factors in my learning has been somewhat simple; watching movies and TV shows in English. It’s probably the most enjoyable way to learn and I would even say effortless in a way, yet effective. Subtitles helped at first, but now I often find myself understanding scenes without them. It’s nice how much you can learn just by hearing how people really talk. That said I haven’t necessarily followed a strict study plan or used every possible learning method.
